Robin Ely is a doctor of nursing practice with 29 years of nursing experience, she specializes in dementia care. Robin owns Mind Matters, a dementia day care she founded to help local families caring for their loved one. She is a Southeastern Connecticut native who is active in the local community. Robin is a partner in Power Up to Parkinsons which helps people with Parkinson’s Disease navigate their unique challenges. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Mystic Geriatrics Institute and is an active member of both the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Robin resides in Mystic with her husband Andrew and their dog Pebbles.
Members of the Mind Matters team include a combination of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Recreational Aids. All members of our team work together to provide the best social experience for your loved one with dementia in a safe environment. You can feel confident that your loved one will be happy and secure in our care.
Pebbles is often present at Mind Matters. She was born in April 2021. She completed an initial training course and we continue working on her skills. She brings joy and smiles to our clients.
